# Signed messages

> Build and hash every message a Totalis flow signs: the EIP-712 builders, the USDC authorizations, the key approval and the Hyperliquid bridge.

The flows on the other pages build and sign these for you. Use the builders directly when you sign with your own
stack, or to check what a wallet is asked to sign. The builders come from `.../typed-data`. Each EIP-712 builder takes the
[deployment](/hyperliquid/api-reference/deployment/get-deployment.md) and returns typed data. Two rows differ: the
key approval is a Sign-In with Ethereum text message, not typed data, and Hyperliquid's `SendAsset` is built from
the root exports `bridgeAction` and `hyperliquidNetwork`.

| Builder | Message |
| - | - |
| `takerAcceptTypedData(deployment, entry)` | `TakerAccept` |
| `quoteTypedData(deployment, entry)` | `Quote` |
| `sellBackTypedData(deployment, sellBack)` | `SellBack` |
| `cashoutTransferTypedData(deployment, transfer)` | `CashoutTransfer` |
| `exitTypedData(deployment, exit)` | `Exit` |
| `receiveWithAuthorizationTypedData(deployment, authorization)` | USDC `ReceiveWithAuthorization` |
| `transferWithAuthorizationTypedData(deployment, payout)` | USDC `TransferWithAuthorization` |
| `issueKeyMessage`, `parseIssueKeyMessage` | The Sign-In with Ethereum key approval |
| `sendAssetTypedData(bridgeAction(hyperliquidNetwork(chain_id), amount))` | Hyperliquid `SendAsset` |

## Helpers

| Helper | Gives |
| - | - |
| `hashTypedData` | The digest. A quote's digest is its `quote_id`. |
| `canonicalSignature` | A signature in the form the API accepts |
| `depositNonce`, `payoutNonce` | The [USDC nonces](/hyperliquid/authentication.md#usdc-nonces) |

What each message means, and when a flow asks for it, is on
[Signatures and quote life](/hyperliquid/build/partner-frontend.md#signatures-and-quote-life).
