# Get quote request

> Retrieve a quote request with its active quotes and the current best quote.

Retrieve a quote request by ID. You get the request, every active quote for its current version, and the best quote (highest payout odds). For live updates, open the [SSE stream](/solana/api-reference/quote-service/stream) instead.

## Authentication

Send your API key in the `X-API-Key` header. The key needs the `positions:read` scope.

A Privy JWT (`Authorization: Bearer <jwt>`) is also accepted. See [Authentication](/solana/authentication).

## Errors

| Status | Code | Description |
| - | - | - |
| 401 | `UNAUTHORIZED` | Missing or invalid API key. |
| 403 | `FORBIDDEN` | You do not own this quote request. |
| 404 | `NOT_FOUND` | Quote request not found. |
